Consist Of Lead Glass

- Mar 08, 2018 -

The composition of lead glass is: RmOn-PbO-SiO2 (B2O3). In the formula SiO2 (B2O3), namely silicon oxide (boron oxide), said network formation, is to form the basic unit of glass network structure. RmOn, representing metal oxides of alkalis, alkaline earths, and rare earth metals, is a network modification that changes the structure of the glass network and achieves tuning properties. PbO, namely lead oxide, is a characteristic component that gives basic glass properties. With the increase of PbO content, the glass's density, refractive index, dispersion, dielectric constant, X-ray and γ-ray absorption coefficient and other performance index values increased; its hardness, high temperature viscosity, softening temperature, chemical stability and other index values decreased; As a result, the glass forming material becomes longer, the colorant is colorful, the surface gloss is increased, and the striking sound is crisp.
